Comment here and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You have to repost this with your answers to the questions in your journal.
aaaaaah picked Torchwood, Star Trek (any incarnation; I'm using TOS just because it's been a long time since I saw TNG, even though it was actually first for me), and Harry Potter.
Torchwood:
01. The first character I fell in love with: Well, Captain Jack, since I met him first. Normally the Lovable Rogue character does nothing for me, but he'd won me over by halfway through "Boomtown."
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Mmm, hard to say. Probably Tosh; I like my hackers Bryce Lynch style, but Theora style works, too.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't think there is a character everyone loves in this fandom, but I'll go ahead and say Owen. I still haven't forgiven him for date-rape by alien pheromones in the first episode.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Again, I don't think there are universally hated characters in this series; everyone picks their favorites. However, I don't dislike Gwen (although I have some issues with how she behaves), and there are a lot of rabid Gwen-haters in the fandom.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Can't think of one.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Ianto! Poor, poor woobie!Ianto.
07. The character I'd want to be like: Are you kidding? These are not people you want to go around emulating. Maybe Detective Swanson from "They Keep Killing Suzie;" she was cool.
08. The character I'd slap: First-season Owen, because man, did he deserve it. Not quite so much second season.
09. A pairing that I love: I'll go with teh sqeeing fangirl answer and say Jack/Ianto. Not ever spelling it Janto, though.
10. A pairing that I hate: I thought Gwen/Owen was the mother of all bad ideas, both in terms of the characters and story-wise.
11. My five favorite characters: There are only five mains, unless you want to count Rhys and/or Suzie, which I don't particularly.
12. My five least favorite characters: See above.
13. Which character I am most like: Probably Estelle from "Small Worlds." I can carry a torch for forever, and I believe in the Fae folk, although unlike her I'd never trust them.
14. My deep, dark fandom secret: Not exactly a secret, but: I'm not caught up on the canon - haven't seen any of "Children of Earth" yet.
Star Trek (TOS):
01. The first character I fell in love with: Spock, like most Trekkies.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Kirk, honestly. He seemed like a blustering pile of braggadaccio at first, but he's grown on me over time.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Hmm, can't think of one. I'm not big on character hate.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: This fandom's been around long enough and has a big enough cast that there's no "everyone hates" character. A lot of people overlook Scotty, and I love him to death, so I'll put him here.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: There isn't one, but I used to be a lot more fond of Nurse Chapel than I currently am.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Dr. McCoy. Mmm, sweet southern comfort!sex.
07. The character I'd want to be like: None of them are great role models, but I'd have to say Uhura - calm under fire and capable of snappy one-liners in the worst situtations.
08. The character I'd slap: Much as I love Chekov, he does need it once in a while.
09. A pairing that I love: Not technically a pariring, but there needs to be more Bones/Kirk/Spock.
10. A pairing that I hate: Chapel/Bones. Come on, she's in unrequited love with Spock and they have too close a professional relationship. I have yet to see this one written in character.
11. My five favorite characters: Bones, Scotty, Chekov, Uhura, Spock.
12. My five least favorite characters: Hmm. Am I required to stick to recurring characters? Sarek, umm . . . . Yeah, to fill this out I'd have to pick one-shot characters from various episodes that I don't feel like hunting up right now.
13. Which character I am most like: Whoo, toughie. I give good foley scream and I'm good at science, so Chekov?
14. My deep, dark fandom secret: I kinda liked the fan-dance sequence in ST:V. (Not the rest of the movie, obviously.)
Harry Potter:
01. The first character I fell in love with: Hermione. Go, smart chicks, go!
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Ron. The whiny little snot grew up quick.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I'm honestly kind of disgusted with Dumbledore's behavior from book 5 onwards. (I also can't stand Hagrid, but I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that.)
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Percy Weasley. The family never supported him; he got empty praise from his mother and shit from everyone else. I don't blame him for looking for affirmation elsewhere. (Also, I wouldn't go so far as to say I love either one, but I feel sorry for Narcissa Malfoy and Petunia Dursley, and see them as parallels. Their families and their husbands pushed them into things they clearly weren't ready for and didn't want.)
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Remus Lupin. He underwent massive Character Decay in the last two books. (And no, I don't think the problem was the relationship with Tonks per se. I can happily ship both Sirius/Lupin and Lupin/Tonks, thank you.)
06. The character I would shag anytime: Snape, greasy hair and all. Boy needs some comfort after all that hurt.
07. The character I'd want to be like: Neville. I mean, goddamn. I really want an alternate version of Book Seven that details what was going on at Hogwarts that year; I'll bet what was going on with Neville was more interesting than the interminable camping scenes.
08. The character I'd slap: Snape, again. That is not how you motivate students, dammit!
09. A pairing that I love: Harry/Ron. I think they're much better matches for each other than they are for either Hermione or Ginny.
10. A pairing that I hate: Harry/Cho never made any sense to me at all. Was there anything in her personality that made that seem like a good idea?
11. My five favorite characters: Neville, Luna, Hermione, Flitwick, Ron
12. My five least favorite characters: Fred, George, Sirius, James, Hagrid
13. Which character I am most like: McGonagall. I'm the tough-but-fair teacher, or at least I'd like to think I am.
14. My deep, dark fandom secret: Despite it containing massive character decay and badly needing an editor, I really liked Book Six. I appear to be almost alone in that opinion.
Edited because I should not type while sick
