Yuletide Reveal!

omorkaI wrote two stories for Yuletide proper, and one for Yuletide Madness.
My assigned story was The Cryptobiological Airborne Conspiracy, for LessThanPie. It's a Middleman fic, and a gen casefile (although it references Wendy/Tyler and Lacey/Middleman in passing). I tried to get as much of the structure of the show in as possible - a main other work referenced throughout, occasional references to other works, the Middleman's colorful metaphors, "sheer elegance in its simplicity," and a Wilhelm (although that's awfully hard to render in text). I may have sacrificed pacing for style in a few places, but overall I'm okay with how it came out.
I wrote A Locked-Drawer Mystery as a Treat for Miss Molly Etc. It's PG-rated RGB slash, a Peter/Egon getting-together story with a side-helping of hurt-comfort - written from Winston's POV, which was the big challenge for me. Honestly, it ended up being more about Winston's relationships with Egon and Ray than about the focal pairing, but you know, I'm okay with that. Winston doesn't get enough love in this fandom, and Peter and Egon still got their scene.
My Yuletide Madness story was Pulling Weeds, for Coffeesuperhero. It's a missing-scene fic for Still Crazy, in which Luke asks a few questions about the origin of Strange Fruit and Beano explains how he joined the band. PG-13 due to drug references. More people need to write for this fandom, dammit; there was one other SC prompt in the big spreadsheet, which I might take a crack at for the New Year's Resolutions exchange.
